HDVI / CT Scan

Stanley Veterinary Clinic is now able to offer even better and more advanced imaging services with the addition of our new Vimago imaging system which includes both CT capabilities and fluoroscopy. The technology in this CT scanner is a new and improved method of performing CT scans which allows for higher definition and better quality images than what has ever been seen before. Not only does it provide better imaging than any other CT machine (even including what is available in human medicine), but it can do so with a fraction of the radiation used by standard CT scanners, meaning your pet is exposed to as little radiation as possible. These images are then gathered by the computer and put into files that allow them to be viewed in greyscale, color, 3D modeling, and viewed in any orientation which, simply put, means better ability to diagnose more accurately. Also, we can electronically send these emails to board-certified radiologists, as needed, to get reports from the absolute experts in the field. These scans can even be 3D printed into a physical model to allow for surgical planning and other uses.

Fluoroscopy Services

The Vimago imaging system also has fluoroscopy capabilities. Fluoroscopy is basically a live feed, video x-ray that makes it possible to actually watch internal parts of the body movement rather than just capturing a still frame picture like with standard radiographs. This makes it possible to diagnose certain conditions that might otherwise be difficult or even impossible to see with standard x-ray technology. This also improves our treatment capabilities as we can now use this technology to guide needles or other equipment during procedures.

So, what does this all mean for you? We at Stanley Veterinary Clinic now have the most up-to-date radiography technology to more accurately and quickly diagnose your furry family members!
